My Time 04:53
Here I am standing At the factory gate It's a rainy Monday morning And this is what I hate Selling my time I'm selling of my time For a handful of pennies I work this production line Here comes the boss man Waves his arms about He's never ever happy And you can hear him shout Don't waste my time My money is your time You'll get a handful of pennies But you won't get another dime, no There goes the factory whistle It's time to take a break Half the day is over How much more can I take Selling my time I'm selling off my time For a handful of pennies Oh brother this is such a crime The working day is over I'm in a traffic jam Red lights are flashing I don't know why I am Wasting my time I'm wasting so much time I've got ten miles to travel But I'm stuck in this traffic line; yes I am One day I'm going to sell up And leave this daily grind I'm busy doing nothing And that is when I find myself some time I'm going to find some time And if it takes until eternity Oh brother, I'm going to make it mine, yes I am

There was a time, back in the 1930's When depression hit so hard That it nearly damn drove All the good people down to the ground The land became a dust bowl Times were so tough that they said it nearly killed the Blues Well now imagine that people So we've seen these hard times once before But I've still got those twenty-first century depression blues Hard time returned, harder than many before Jobs have been lost, business counts the cost The working man feels the pain once again Then you see the bankers with bonuses And M.P.'s with their false expenses It sure does bring you down people Well I don't care for them anymore Because I've still got those twenty-first century depression blues You've got to keep the faith Keep your hopes alive Because in times like these You've got to have the will to survive They're going to put you down You've got to get back up You've got to show them that you're here to stay They won't thank you anyway Well I know that times have been tough before But I've still got those twenty-first century depression blues Twenty-first century depression blues Twenty-first century depression blues

For The Little One (Courtney's Song) Colour me with your rainbows, Over and over again, Under blues skies, the blue of you eyes, Roses bloom at the sound of your name. Tie me down with your silk ribbons, Never free me from your invisible spell. Even I cannot see what your world is to be, You kiss, but you’ll never tell. Rainy days won’t keep me away, Or make me run and hide. Smile for me and walk with me, Ever and always by my side…. Take me to a world full of wonder, Of places to play and to hide. Let’s laugh and sing, let the moment bring, Let me always be by your side, Ever and always by your side, Yeah, always by your side! © New Tradition Music.

Kuranda Brake (The Railway Song) Tic-Tack shops, Lorikeets and cold beer. Tjabugai painters and Gadja artists all live here. Fat, red faced tourists stand wilting in the sun, Under hot-house skies, our Dreamtime journey has begun! I’m on the tail of Buda Dji on this downhill ride. A mountain to the right of me; on the left is the viewing side. Look! See the Barron falling and tumbling again. The roar of his call is fed by the forest rain. This “snake” keeps on sliding and hugging the mountain side. Like a child I see so many things, my eyes are open wide. The beauty and the splendour is more than I can take? Is this Dreamtime I’m living, as I ride this Kuranda brake/ Tic-Tack shops, but now there’s snow on the ground. It’s cold and it’s grey as I walk through this English market town. But as I slip, I'm in Dreamtime once again. In the Kuranda brake and the tale of that mountain train. © New Tradition Music.

In Paradise 05:31
In Paradise Sunrise over blue water, Soft sand; an endless beach. Sea breeze blows upon me gently, Always out of reach. “Rush-hour” on a busy Four Mile, No cars on this “street”. Sunscreen; better watch my shoulders, Out in this tropical heat (oh yeah). Beach cafe, Americano coffee, A walk down Macrossan Street. Window shopping in the sunshine There’s a spring in my feet. Lazing on a sunny Four Mile, Lunch with a bottle of wine. Arvo down at the marina, Everything here is just fine (oh yeah!) Was it all in a dream? Was it all so far away? Are you going to return? Yes, I’m going back, going back to stay ... In Paradise….. Reef boats all returning safely, Stroll down to Rex Smeale Park, Sunset over distant mountains; The day slips into dark. Meet friends dinning out at 2 Fish, “Seafood Platter” is so nice! No place could be any finer, Than here in Paradise (oh yeah!) Was it all in a dream? Was it all so far away? Are you going to return? Yes, I’m going back, going back to stay… In Paradise….. © 2014. New Tradition Music.

Ten Thousand Miles The street lights on the port side Fade away and flicker out of sight. Into the inky darkness, As I soar away into the black of night. A sad farewell at the departure gate And now I’m on my own. A pang of pain in my heart to let me know I’m travelling ten thousand miles from home. The “angel” of the cabin Flits from seat to seat and row to row. Her reassuring smile, Helps to heal the pain that just won’t let me go. Please cut me loose, I need to free my mind I’m here on my own. I’m so confused; I fall into a troubled sleep I’m travelling ten thousand miles from home? Always steadfast in my mission, Resolute and my aims were always true. But the dream became a nightmare And now it’s just a thing I have to do. In a tourist town, in a foreign land, I’ve got to make it on my own. Too much to lose, I need to see this through I’m travelling ten thousand miles from home. © 2014. New Tradition Music.

about

People ask me to re-record old material and this I have done with "Never Tell A Woman" on DEAD ROSES and more recently, "Hellbound Train" with Norbs Blade. However, that is far as it goes for now because it is the new material I want to get out there under my own name.

However, as the COVID-19 pandemic has prevented me getting into the studio, I thought it would be fun to dig into the archives and pull out six tracks from my days with Stompin' on Spiders that have my signature style of performance, plastered all over them.

The tracks were recorded in various studios between 2010 and 2014, so the quality may vary. Sadly all the masters have been erased and lost forever. These remastered tracks are all that remain.

Have fun!
