New Year's Eve is a time for reflection and for expectations!
Sometimes our resolutions and aspirations prove fruitful and the New Year begins with a BANG!
Other times, the changes brought about by the leap of time, from the old to the new, are not always what you expect or what you wanted. You could find yourself on a new course in your life, for good and for bad. But we can force a change if we wish.
Times may change you, but Father Time marches us on to new horizons and experiences. No matter what we wish for, we cannot change the forward march of time.
Time always rings out the changes and we must move on, but our memories, be they good or otherwise, remain locked in time for evermore.
So Ring Out The Changes dear friends and see the New Year In!
And a very Happy New Year to you!
lyrics
Ring out the changes,
See the New Year in.
My resolutions are pretty false.
All lost and gone by Sunday next week
Festivities dying with a slowing pulse
Thanks for all the precious memories.
All the good times and the sad;
Ring out the changes,
And see the New Year In.
You know, I must be going mad.
Ring out the changes,
See the New Year in.
The test of time has just begun.
This New Year is going to be the best we’ve ever had,
But I’m looking after number one.
The wine and the booze was a whole lot of fun,
But have we forgot all those in need,
Ring out the changes,
And see the New Year In.
Society, help them please?
Ring out the changes,
See the New Year in.
One last kiss, one last dance.
I was in love for such a long, long time,
Now I’m walking around in a trance.
I know I must turn and face the truth,
I know, but I just ain’t got the time.....
I’ve rung out the changes,
I’ve seen the New Year in;
But you're still on my mind....
Still on my mind......
Still on my mind......
Still on my mind.
