For twelve years, I owned a blue Nissan Almeria Tino motor car; an S.U.V. actually. “Big Blue” was both a coach horse and a mule; adapting to a range of duties for family life, business and gigging. She was a trooper.
But when she went wrong (which was rare), she went wrong and my wallet paid the price. Early in 2017, just 53 miles short of her 100,000 mile milestone, she developed expensive valve problems and very reluctantly, I let her go to the scrapper. Nevertheless, if I was a rich man, “Big Blue” would still be here today.
