Jacaranda Blue

In early November, the Jacaranda Tree bursts into a
beautiful blue-purple blossom across Australia. Often mistaken for an Australian native, it is indigenous to Brazil. The Jacaranda has spread across the Australia, encouraged in-part by civic planting in the beautification of townships the C20th.
But for this Englishman, the dread of another long, cold winter is offset by seeing the beauty of the Jacaranda, up close and at first hand.

A bitter north-wind and a winter sky,
Snow is due or so they say.
In the greyness of this sad November,
A spring of love to remember,
